  • Scaled revenues with strong organic growth and acquisitions from $1.7M (2006) to $23M (2011).

  • Founded Synchronica GmbH in 2004 and executed trade sale to DAT Group plc (AIM Listed) for €1.3M in 3/2005. Rebranded DAT as Synchronica plc, raised £5m to fund turn-around, restructuring and sales.

  • Relocated engineering from UK to Berlin achieving a 35% cost reduction in R&D.

  • Recruited and led international sales- and pre-sales team of 12, introduced CRM, sales forecasting, standardized sales process and licensing contracts.

  • Led marketing & PR strategy positioning Synchronica as an international market leader in mobile messaging focused on generating sales leads.

  • Won 50+ new contracts with international operators and device manufacturers in a notoriously competitive industry with long sales cycles of 9-18 months.

  • Acquisition of Nokia Operator Branded Messaging Business, 7/2011, for $25M in cash. Raised $15M from institutional investors. Added patents and contracts with operators in North America including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Rogers, and Bell with recurring revenue. Integrated organizations in 4 weeks of completion.

  • Acquired Neustar NGM in 2/2011, securing patent portfolio, customers and RCS instant messaging software. Acquisition of iseemedia in 9/2010, accompanied with £3.7M fundraise from institutional investors in UK and Canada. Integrated technology and removed overheads within 8 months.

  • Raised £4.8M and acquired Colibria IMPS Business in 4/2010 adding scalable instant messaging software and customer portfolio. Acquired AxisMobile in 8/2008, raising additional £5.1M and adding operator customers in emerging markets. Integrated Email-to-SMS/MMS technology within 6 months.

Virtual SIM solutions for mobile operators

  • Served as Non-Executive Director from 8/2012, followed by appointment as CEO in 12/2012.

  • Designed and introduced new solution, Movirtu WorkLife targeting strategic BYOD market, enabling enterprises to assign corporate phone numbers to privately owned SIM cards. Envisaged and introduced CloudPhone, using Virtual SIM technology to bring mobile phone numbers to the internet.

  • Redesigned corporate marketing for new products and led PR activities targeting industry analysts like Strategy Analytics and Ovum, recognizing Movirtu as a “new player to watch”.

  • Built pipeline of tier-1 operators worth $12m within 6 months. Introduced CRM, forecast and sales reporting. Roll-out in group-wide agreement with Airtel for deployment of Movirtu’s Virtual SIM platform in all 17 subsidiaries, negotiated & signed additional agreements with Globacom, Smart and WINS (Eutelsat).

  • Initiated M&A initiative, sold to BlackBerry for $32.5m after 18 months delivering a 3x return for investors.

  • Upgraded group-wide agreement with Telefonica (TISA) for Mobile Gateway across all 16 subsidiaries in LATAM. Added group-wide agreement with America Movil for push Email with recurring revenue (2011).

  • Negotiated licensing agreement with Tele 2, Russia for mobile Instant Messaging services valued at $250K (2010). Secured group-wide framework agreement with operator Zain

       (Airtel Africa).

  • Established $1.28M OEM agreement with Fly Mobile, a device manufacturer targeting Russia (2010).

  • Collaborated with Brightstar to build, market, and sell low cost mobile devices (“MessagePhone”) to be bundled with Mobile Gateway, providing end-to-end entry level push email devices.

  • Built strategic partnership with Sun Microsystems including OEM agreement for synchronization technology building scalable global channel to market of 240M users. Achieved £1M in revenue in first year.

  • Several reseller agreements including Huawei, Nokia Siemens Networks, Brightstar, and Extended Systems. Secured agreements with operators Zain, MTN, Entel, Base, Netcom, T-Mobile UK, and Nextel.



  • Architected category-leading Synchronica Mobile gateway, providing device-agnostic push Email, instant messaging and synchronization based on industry standards IMAP, OMA DS, IMPS and RCS.

  • Designed visionary device management platform Synchronica Mobile Manager based on OMA DM standard used in world’s first OTA firmware update system for mobile devices with Siemens Mobile

       in 2004.
